Choi asks Will what they found and he tells him that it was the suicide note and Choi shares with them that he just got some weird test results. Jay walks in and hands Will something, it ends up being the lost suicide note from the woman overdosing on chemo, Jessica Pope, but it shows that she was going to kill herself because she was betrayed by a man. He brings the test results to Choi and takes credit for them. He doesn’t give the results to Reese though, he hands them to April’s brother, Noah, who is shadowing Reese. Meanwhile, Reese ordered some more tests and the guy running the tests just so happens to be a guy she swiped a splenda from earlier and she doesn’t think he is going to run the tests for her as quickly as she needs them, but he surprises her. Will Halstead goes to talk to Jay about the woman who is overdosing on chemo and he tells Jay that they are starting to think that this woman didn’t try to commit suicide and asks him to check it out some more. Zanetti and she takes offense to him even thinking that. Rhodes is now trying to figure out who said something to the crew at 51 about him mishandling the Herrmann situation and the first person he asks is Dr. Rhodes and Severide have some strong words, mainly Rhodes being defensive and standing behind his choice to wait. When Herrmann comes out of surgery, Severide starts asking questions about Rhodes’ decision not to do the surgery sooner. Even if she was sick, there would be no reason to book a trip if she booked and paid for already if she didn’t have high hopes of remission. Charles starts questioning why she would try to kill herself if she had a trip to Paris booked and confirmed.

Halstead comes in to talk to his brother about Herrmann and whether or not he would have done something when he came in if he was his patient and not Rhodes’. He said that was a tough call, but he probably would have done something as soon as he came in.Ĭhoi is still looking into the woman who is overdosing on chemo when Reese comes in and asks if she can run a few more tests.
